The Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin

Ledgewood served as the construction manager for a multi-phase addition and renovation project at the historic Episcopal Church. The project expanded and renovated the Parish House, delivered HVAC control upgrades to the church and rectory, and supplied damp-proofing and drainage to the existing Parish House. In the Parish House, the addition provides parishioners with a new chapel, elevator, and office and meeting space; renovations to the existing auditorium and classrooms round out the improvements.

Renovations of the parish house were completed while the owner still occupied parts of the building. Ledgewood collaborated closely with the Parish to develop a construction schedule that accommodated as many planned Parish activities as possible. This included their Friday night “super suppers” in the auditorium — a space that underwent substantial renovation, including new windows, removal of the stage, refinishing of the floor, and new lighting and paint throughout.
