About the Role:
Ledgewood Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Preconstruction Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in the early stages of our projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, scheduling, and cost analysis.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can effectively engage with stakeholders and contribute to delivering high-quality projects that support our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to prepare RFP responses and participate in client interviews.
- Attend preconstruction meetings with owners and design teams to align project goals.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contracts to assess scope, requirements, and risks.
- Develop detailed estimates and schedules for conceptual, schematic, design-development, and final construction documents.
- Provide cost-saving solutions to align projects with the owner’s budget.
- Prepare contract qualifications and assumptions to support project planning.
- Utilize estimating software such as SAGE Estimating and Procore.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering with at least five years of preconstruction estimating experience.
- In-depth knowledge of construction principles, practices, and budgeting methodologies.
- A problem-solver with a positive, value-driven approach to preconstruction.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
