Educare Central Maine

Ledgewood Construction served as construction manager for the 34,220-s.f. Educare Central Maine early childhood development center in Waterville. The project achieved LEED Certification due in part to the use of green materials and systems, including low-VOC paints and adhesives, temperature and lighting control systems, energy efficient windows, and recycled materials.

Ledgewood was key in assisting this project through extensive value management efforts as well as keeping the project on schedule. Ledgewood encouraged the owner to fast track the project and put out early bid packages for site, foundations and steel while the remainder of the design was completed. These early packages allowed us to get in the ground during the warmer months and ensured we completed the project on time for new students to start the following fall.
