Granite Hill

A vibrant retirement community in scenic central Maine

Details.

Granite Hill is an 85,000-s.f. retirement living facility which offers 52 congregate care units and eight assisted living units. Amenities include an indoor pool and garages.

Ledgewood managed construction of the building, which is located on a hilltop site with constant wind. High winds would affect work, challenging the already aggressive schedule. Despite those constraints and a tight labor market, Ledgewood completed the project on budget and on time.

Ledgewood also completed an expansion and conversion of the facility. The 24,000-s.f. addition to the main building contains assisted living and memory loss apartments and associated dining and common facilities. The 6,000-s.f. conversion transformed eight assisted living units into six independent living apartments within the main building.
