Greely High School Performing Arts Center
A vibrant arts center the community is proud of.
Details.
As the General Contractor for the new performing arts center at Greely High School, we built 26,000 s.f. of new space, attached to the southeast end of the existing building, in 14 months. The space can be closed off to the school for non-school events and provides student access from both floors to the new two-story lobby, auditorium space, and band and chorus classrooms during the school day.
The project manager carefully planned the schedule to allow for no disruption to the school and sporting events while construction was taking place. The schedule took full advantage of the school vacations to accomplish all of the work required within the existing building, to make sprinkler and electrical connections, as well as connecting the new lobby to the existing corridors.
The center includes a 505-seat auditorium with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and technology systems that are equivalent to theaters in major metropolitan areas.
Despite a challenging labor market, Ledgewood finished the project on time and on budget.
