Ledgewood Construction completed construction of Sylvia Ross Home, an addition to Ross Manor, an assisted living facility in Bangor. This multi-phase project adds a total of 50-units; 40 assisted living beds and 10 nursing beds.
Split into two phases, the first phase included a 36,000-s.f., two-story, woodframe addition. The building is comprised of 40-units, each with a kitchenette, as well as common spaces such as living and dining rooms, craft and fitness areas, and a commercial kitchen. The second phase added 10 nursing units to the existing facility in a single story. Constructed of light-gauge metal framing, it does not have any common spaces.
A unique, custom-built staircase is the facility’s pièce de résistance, and was constructed off-site by local artisans and brought in on flat-bed trucks before being assembled in place.
